What is Occupational Therapy?

An occupational therapist works with individuals to improve everyday activities through a therapeutic approach. All our occupational therapists are certified by the American Occupational Therapy Association (aota.org), licensed, and hold a master’s degree.

Diagnoses

include:

Sensory Integration/Processing Disorders

Gross and Fine Motor Skills (walking, running, using utensils,etc.)

Handwriting

Visual Processing (i.e. convergence deficiency disorder, etc.)

Feeding difficulties due to sensory issues (texture, color, taste, etc.)

Feeding difficulties related to oral motor sequencing/strength (i.e. excessive drooling, food falls out of the mouth, pocketing food in cheeks, etc.)
